The Way Back Home

The Way Back Home

I have a long standing relationship with Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company, having for the last 5 years photographed their shows.  Having worked with the artistic director Adam Bampton-Smith on several projects as an actor and a photographer I have a strong awareness of the style of publicity photograph he requires for his production and publicity stills.  Of course having worked professionally in theatre for almost 10 years gives you a good eye for these things too!

Their latest production The Way Back Home is an adaptation of the childrens book by Oliver Jeffers. This exciting new premiere production for young children and families is a co-production with Theatre Royal Winchester and has been created by the team behind the hit shows Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and The Night Before Christmas with original music produced by the composers of The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. It’s a beautiful and touching adaptation of the story with music and songs from all genres including country to disco! It was great fun to be able to do the production stills for it just before it’s world premiere.
